A German customer is suing Aston Martin after facing multiple problems with his Valkyrie, a supercar equipped with an engine derived from Formula 1 and valued at over US$ 3.2 million.

The lawsuit alleges failures in electrical and safety systems since the vehicle’s delivery in February 2022. The case gained attention after an incident in August 2024, when the external audio system—essential for the driver to hear outside sounds due to the high internal noise—failed, almost resulting in a collision with an ambulance.

According to the owner, the faulty system prevented him from hearing the emergency vehicle’s siren, which only avoided an accident thanks to the ambulance driver’s maneuver. He also reports constant failures in the high-voltage electrical system, error messages on the dashboard, and the unauthorized removal of an important suspension part during maintenance. Additionally, the car allegedly suffered body damage during transport for servicing.

Aston Martin denies the accusations and claims the vehicle meets technical specifications. The manufacturer admits the possibility of repurchase but demands a fee of US$ 63,800, citing usage of the car, which has only driven 440 km.

The dispute also involves jurisdiction: while the case is proceeding in German courts, the brand is trying to move it to the United Kingdom, where the contract was signed and the car was manufactured.
